Finally something new on this front!
We organized a totally exquisite day in Helsinki perimeter with my old friend and a skilled photographer Eero Jokimies and a great and professional lad originally from the UK – Tomas Whitehouse. The goal was to shoot some new promotional shots for myself, as the old ones were getting, well, kinda old.
I’ve seen a lot of great pics in the Finnish rave scene. Common thing with them is that those are usually shot by same couple of people. I wanted to bring a bit different view from the outside to the whole thing.
This is where Eero and Tomas step in. I had seen a lot of their work before and really fell in love with that stuff. They’ve spent a lot of time practicing both the shooting itself an post processing. I drove to Helsinki and we spent a great day in a empty mall parking lot and in a total wasteland. The guys had a really impressive setup of cameras, lenses, flashlights, dishes, softboxes, stands etc. And of course a lot of skill to wield them!
I’ve still seen just a fraction of the final stuff but I’m already totally impressed. More of this stuff will definitely be seen in different occasions. I truly recommend these guys if you are in a need of pics yourself. As a bonus, they are extraordinarily fun to work with!
Some finished shot, behind the scenes -shots and a video of our day can be seen at Tomas’s blog.
Huge thanks to the guys, let’s do it again some time!
